About Nancy DeVries

Award-winning residential interior decorator with over 20 years experience

Growing up in small-town Ontario, Nancy began her career painting and helping with wallpapering her parents’ century home, before her expert eye for colour led to a job in the local Benjamin Moore paint store. She continued to pursue her passion for interior decorating at Mohawk College and moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1996, where she founded Urban Aesthetics in 2002.

Her work as a residential decorator reflects a balance of comfort, function and emotion that’s unique to each home. Furniture arrangement, selecting colours that set a mood, and making the best use of a living space that improves how people feel. Small details make a big impact; each room offers new possibilities to play with different textures, wallpapers and artwork.

It’s been an honour throughout Nancy’s career to have many clients return years later with new projects and refer her expertise to their family and friends. It’s her passion to make each client’s home beautiful, comfortable and deeply personal.
