Urban Aesthetics is an interior decorating company started in 2001 by Nancy DeVries in Vancouver, BC.
Urban Aesthetics offers in-home consultations which is perfect for the homeowner who is bewildered with colour & design dilemmas, and who is looking for an objective opinion and design guidance.
As a colour consultant, Nancy has conducted thousands of colour consultations which has certified her to be one of the senior colour consultants in partnership with Benjamin Moore’s Painting & Decorating Services Program. Nancy also completed her certification in the Hunter Douglas Window Fashions Professional Dealer Program which demonstrates her commitment to training and continued learning to be an expert in window fashions from the leading custom window covering manufacturer, Hunter Douglas.
Nancy is also a member of the Canadian Decorators’ Association (CDECA) which advocates for interior decorating excellence.
She received her Interior Decorating diploma from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario while working in the decorating industry. During that time, Nancy was awarded the 3rd place prize of the North American wallpaper display contest from York Wallcoverings. She has worked at various Benjamin Moore Paint stores in Ontario and British Columbia, and also worked for 2 years in the wallpaper wholesale industry.
